Not Sorry At Last

I have had the sick urge to apologize

for saying what I deeply feel,

even knowing it natural, common,

the idea being it should be suppressed

in case it prove inconvenient to others—

the ones to whom I’d apologize.

But I’m over it at last,

like most other illnesses.
