A North American Union
Canada, The US and Mexico
Have not been at war for a good long time.
Why don’t we huddle and attempt to grow
Even closer and richer. Frankly I’m
Betting the money saved on walls alone
Would buy a few bombers and Abrams tanks,
Or, if you preferred, good footwear and phones,
Appliances, cars, the things we give Thanks
For subtly or not at Thanksgiving.
Let’s get the complete use of each other’s
Climate and culture and capital. Bring
On more various sisters and brothers
And let them have everything everywhere,
Including, with time, the burden of care.
