Torture

Is torture back on the table again,

or down cellar where it belongs?

Were we better off lost in the Bushes,

where lying and legal loop holes created

things reporters could try to find out,

or as we are now, out with it?—

Trump trumpeting.

How did we lose the last bit of self-respect

that let us deny being torturers,

liars at least knowing right from wrong?
