Decrepitude And Obsolescence

Times were, becoming decrepit, the afterlife was all there was

to look forward to: You'd think of yourself Hereafter.

Now I can say, from experience, we're looking forward

to new parts: in my case, a knee: a nice, new knee.

Whether of teflon, titanium or whatnot, it won’t hurt

but just keep marching, like a good soldier, robotic.

It will not require intelligence; I can pull the strings;

but if I couldn’t, it might be intelligent.

And this is the way Humanity's heading—

we’re in for a complete replacement.
