Dress In Old Age

When one becomes old and vulnerable,

feeble and greatly concerned with health,

uninterested much in appearances,

except they show signs of care,

When one prefers protective clothing,

long sleeves, big hats, gloves in summer,

thick pants, thick shoes, dark glasses,

a scarf, apparel designed

To keep off the sun, out the cold,

away the wind, the idea is (beyond protection)

to show oneself dressed as if somebody cared,

as if one were somebody’s baby.
