Postage And Feminism

In France they tell me Feminism

never got off the ground because

the women enjoyed being coveted

more as objects than treated as equals.

They say the future of Feminism there

has an uphill battle against saliva

to lick before it overcomes lust

and women prefer not being pursued.

The thesis is that pure Feminism

will never be fully accepted because

it might mean that Joan of Arc bare-

breasted would not be allowed on a stamp.
