My Heart Is Filled With Murder Too

But we can’t all pull the trigger.

Someone has to remain and sweep up

sawdust thrown in pools of blood.

I haven’t done that,

but am there in spirit.

And I assure you, the trigger-happy,

that while I’m not eager to join your ranks,

thousands of others who are may soon.

So perhaps Mankind should edit genes

and extirpate certain parts of brains.

Maybe we should cut people’s balls off too,

even if only chemically.
