Does the world need another person like you?

No. It has one.

Enough.

The world needs someone completely different,

or partly different, which feels the same

to the likes of you, undiscerning student.

And that is what’s been in front of you lately,

another person, unlike you.

When you’ve gotten to know the person,

see if you can’t be more like that,

in every way you admire. Find them!—

especially if you dislike the person.

For only then can the world be better,

and you be better, which is quite the same.
