A Bigamist Ache

He would have preferred nice concubines,

as long as they could have all been happy,

‘they’ being him and the Mrs. and them,

a balancing act, of sorts.

But barring that, which seemed barred,

he thought he might like more wives.

He was a firm believer in Nature: His

Human Nature and Animal Nature.

So instead of the usual sneakiness,

his petition was a bigamist ache,

or a trigamist’s, probably

about as wrong as it sounds.

Luckily, his good wife saved him,

and nothing too bad materialized.
