Mass Murders With Guns

It is hard to say we need more mass murders

but I’m going to get up my courage and try.

Here I go: We need more mass murders.

Let us say, 2 or 3 big ones a week, perhaps 2.6,

so that after some time at the decisive rate,

the balance tips, and the country says,

this is too inconvenient.

No more

assault rifles, no more carrying, except in boxes

on the way to the shooting range, etc.,

a lot of legislation that brings civilization toThe USA.

Then what would happen?—

Great angry swarms would descend on DC

to march on The Capital, march on The White House,

march on everything Governmental,

and as is their wont, they’d mostly be armed,

so The Government’s would have to go out and meet them

with similar forces, but better-armed,

and rat-a-tat-tat, a lot of dead fools, 

and it would finally be over and everyone know: 

This was no way to live.
