A Woman Thinking

They hate us because we are so supportive

of all sexes and animal kingdoms,

trees and aliens, fungi, bugs,

rats, restaurants, dance halls, education,

and it goes without saying,

races and creeds,

by which we mean culture,

even mental illness,

which is not to say, armed,

though that can happen,

and must be forgiven

and converted from distress,

combativeness,

death and destruction,

into what is safe and enduring,

stimulating, profitable,

ideal for the future

of womankind, 

people.
